A tip for anyone wanting a 'quiet' rooster, Frankie here is a Silverlace & his crow is surprisingly quiet, his father's was too so I am presuming it is a breed trait. We live in suburbia & have moved with him several times (he is around 4 years old) & have NEVER had a single noise complaint. At one stage a neighbour got himself a rooster but it only lasted a few days before he took its head off because of the noise, but again he never complained about Frankie (only that his rooster was not quiet like that)
